“There’s only one way to be excellent at something. You have to practice. Having style is no different.”                                                            Isaac Mizrahi

I am always curious about how people such as Isaac, who utilize their talents to the fullest in their professional lives, will turn around to design their private lives. For example, will they take the same intensity and passion they use for their work and pour it into creating a comfortable, functional and very personal home for themselves?

Architectural Digest recently ran a feature on the Greenwich Village home of Isaac Mizrahi and his husband Arnold Germer. I was pleased to see that this home has all the elegance and great taste that one would expect from someone as talented, sophisticated and diversified as Isaac Mizrahi. Let’s take a look…

The den. Notice the combination of leopard print with blue and purple stripes. A surprising yet cultivated look that really works.

The white marble master bath. I love the storage area.

Mirror, acrylic and a swoosh of lavender in the master bath. The ultimate in urbane living.
